Grease on oven or grill grates is a real nightmare! Especially, the burnt fats that border on the grates and solidify in layers one after the other, take a lot of work to clean.
So how do you easily and effectively clean the burnt fats from the grills?
Below we have some simple steps that will help you!
What will you need:
- 1 pair of cleaning gloves
- 1 dish sponge
- 1 brush or toothbrush
- Laundry detergent
- Baking soda
- White vinegar
How to clean the racks:
- Fill the sink, bathroom tub or even a large laundry bucket with hot water.
- Place a towel underneath to avoid scratching the grate surfaces (optional).
- Pour in 2 tablets of enhanced laundry detergent.
- Place the racks inside so they are completely covered.
- Put weight on them so they are fully submerged.
- Add 1 tbsp. baking soda in the hot water.
- Leave them overnight to soak.
- The next day, wearing kitchen gloves, clean the grates with a sponge or a kitchen brush. For difficult spots, prefer a toothbrush.
- Rinse very well and dry.

At the end, try putting some vinegar on a dry clean cloth and clean with it. They will sparkle like new!
